چکیده
Ischemia/reperfusion injury (I/R) is commonly related to acute kidney (AKI) and oxidative stress. Antioxidant agents are used treat this condition. Lippia sidoides a brazillian shrub with anti-inflammatory anti-oxidative properties. Thus, the aim of study evaluate effect ethanolic extract (LSEE) on in vivo vitro models AKI induced by I/R. Male Wistar rats were submitted unilateral nephrectomy ischemia contralateral for 60 min via clamping followed reperfusion 48 h. They divided into four groups: Sham, LSEE (sham-operated pre-treated LSEE), I/R (rats ischemia) I/R-LSEE treated before ischemia). Kidney tissues homogenates determine stress parameters nephrin expression. Plasma urine samples collected biochemical analysis. assays evaluated 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-Diphenyltetrazolium Bromide (MTT) flow cytometry Rhesus Monkey Epithelial Cells (LLC-MK2). The treatment prevented expression alterations, as well parameters. In assay, protected against cell death, reduced reactive oxygen species increased mitochondrial transmembrane potential. showed biotechnological potential new phytomedicine nephroprotective agent.

Nephroprotective Effects of Saponins from Leaves of Panax quinquefolius against Cisplatin-Induced Acute Kidney Injury
Although cisplatin is an anticancer drug that has activity against malignant tumor, it often causes nephrotoxicity. Previous reports have confirmed that the saponins from the leaves of P. quinquefolium (PQS) exerted many pharmacological activities. However, the renoprotective effects of PQS were still unknown. The purpose of the present research was to discuss renoprotective effect of PQS in a ...

متن کاملNephroprotective effects of Feijoa Sellowiana leaves extract on renal injury induced by acute dose of ecstasy (MDMA) in mice
Objective(s): Because of the high total phenolic contents of Feijoa sellowiana , its nephroprotective effect was determined in 3,4-methylene dioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) treated mice. Materials and Methods: Animals received 10, 20 and 40 mg/kg doses of aqueous or methanol extract of F. sellowiana leaves, intra-peritoneally. After one hour, an acute administration of MDMA (20 mg/kg, IP)...
متن کاملHepatoprotective effects of Micromeria croatica ethanolic extract against CCl4–induced liver injury in mice
BACKGROUND Micromeria croatica (Pers.) Schott is an aromatic plant from Lamiaceae family previously found to possess potent in vitro antioxidant activity which is mainly attributed to the high level of polyphenolic substances. The aim of this study was to investigate the hepatoprotective activity and possible underlying mechanisms of Micromeria croatica ethanolic extract (MC) using a model of c...
